Mom and Dad and I met Mark, Beth and Michael at Aunt Carrie's in Point Judith, Rhode Island for a belated birthday celebration for Mark. I was so excited to see an addition to the menu-- the BLLT (BACON, LOBSTER, lettuce and tomato sandwich). Truly an amzing melding of two of my favorite things. Who would have known? We walked around the lighthouse and threw LOTS of rocks in the water. Amazing that Dad can still skip stones after all these years ;)
Three generations of Dushang boys
And isn't my nephew Michael just the cutest thing? His mom brought a bag full of his artwork from the year and I was fortunate enough to choose a few pieces and have added them to my art collection at home- prominantly hanging in my dining room. The snowflakes remind me of what I am NOT missing living in the northeast.
The wedding of Liana Gonzalez and Michael McGee was fabulous!! The Thomas family is my 'other' family and Michael is my 'sister' Marcia's son. Ceremony at St. Michael's Church in Providence and reception at the Pavilion at First Beach in Newport, carousel included. It was a party for beach lovers- flip flops at the door, beach-themed cake created by Chef Eileen Thomas. Cuban band cocktail hour and the views and weather couldn't have been better.

BRIDE!! (or Liana and her Dad)
Cake Construction: That Eileen is a professional which is why it looks so good. I think her idol is Martha Stewart-- NOT :)
Too beautiful to eat really.

I am off to meet friends for dinner at the Indian restaurant in Discovery Square- sounds so lovely, doesn't it? I will post this now and continue if I don't return too late...
